About us
Heaven at the Hill is a not-for-profit social enterprise founded by a team of like-minded entrepreneurs looking for a business opportunity and a way to give back to the local community. Our interest quickly led us to launch a coffee caravan and, soon after a full takeaway menu. As we started to grow we introduced our meals program, working closely with FareShare and Rotary Club to deliver over 350 meals a week. People from all over Melbourne meet to enjoy good service, coffee and food in the beauty that is East Melbourne.
Maynard Community Pantry
As a pandemic response, Heaven initiated a meals program that expanded to include a community pantry , for those in need mostly ( but not only) international students. We first opened in March 2020. Today student volunteers distribute meals and groceries to 350 people, 5 days a week. Since its launch, over 150,000 meals and 5000 shopping bags have been distributed by students to students, people living in boarding houses, vulnerable families and others. This program is supported by Fareshare, Rotary Club, State Parliament of Victoria and Donations.
